Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are of Microsoft’s fixed video game consoles and also successors of the Xbox One. Xbox Series X existed at the Electronic Amusement Exposition (E3) on June 9, 2019, and also the Xbox Series S was officially validated after a leak on September 8, 2020, by Microsoft via Twitter. The gaming consoles are taking on Sony’s console PlayStation 5 as well as Nintendo’s (technically significantly weak) switch. By July 2021 greater than 6.5 million copies were sold worldwide.

For more than a year, PS5 and Xbox Series are now in the market. But while Sony publishes official sales figures, Microsoft holds behind the mountain. An analysis company has now grossly overturned how well the new Xbox generation sold and the numbers with those of the PS5 compared. The result: a console is clearly superior to the other.

PS5 should sell twice as well as Xbox Series

PS5 vs Xbox Series X: Which Does What Best?
Both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X | S are now a year old — time for a first billing! Which next-gene console has sold better? While Sony regularly reveals at the conclusion of a quarter, how many PS5 consoles were delivered to the trade, Microsoft considers themselves covered in this regard. Current sales are nowhere to be found from the official side.

But the market analysis team of Ampere Analysis has grossly robbed how many of the new Xbox consoles were sold within last year. The result: while Sony could bring about 12.8 million PS5 consoles to the man or the woman by the end of September according to the analysis company, Xbox Series S and Series X are only 6.7 million times Mending the bar counter. In other words: The PS5 sells twice as well as the Xbox Series X | S (Source: Ampere Analysis).

Since ampere analysis does not reveal where the sales figures are from the Xbox consoles, should not be blind of the comparison.

The actual winner of the last months: the Nintendo Switch

However, what also shows from the sales figures: In the third quarter 2021 neither the Xbox Series X | S still the PS5 could achieve most sales. Instead, the Nintendo Switch conquered the first place with 3.91 million units sold. For comparison: The Xbox Series X | S was sold 1.36 million times over the same period, the PlayStation 5 at least 3.24 million times.

However, the victory of the switch should, among other things, come about, because the handheld console is currently still easily ordered. Only the new OLED model is previously out of print. PS5 and Xbox Series X, on the other hand, almost sold out since the release, while the cheaper Series S (look at Amazon) can be found anywhere.
