The DBSCG game area has expanded to accommodate the Sendai series. On the left side of its leader is where his Z-Deck will be placed. To the left of that is where your Z-Energy cards are placed. Following the design recommended by Banzai, everything is organized and is easily accessible.
Z-Cards and Z-Deck
Calls like this for the theme of Sendai, the Z-Cards include Z-Leaders and Z-Battle Cards. These new letters are not considered in your main deck as usual. Instead, it creates a separate mini that contains up to 7 cards that will be placed next to its main deck before the game begins.
This new function allows you to customize any of your mallets with support letters that can be accessed immediately. The Z-Cards are not random and are there when you need them. The consistency always equals more strategy, and you can configure more transcendental turns every time you play.
Z-Energy is the new DBSCG resource. To accumulate your Z-Energy reservation, Banzai added a new step to the game combination phase. After combining any amount of cards during a battle, you can choose up to 1 letter from your combo area and place it in your Z-Energy battery. That energy remains there until you spend it, or until another letter or effect eliminates it.
Each Z-Card has a specific amount of Z-Energy on the upper left side of the card with an icon that looks like three cards stacked next to each other. To play a Z-Card, you must spend that amount of Z-Energy. Z-Cards can also have regular energy costs that must be paid normally. Having your own resources instead of using your usual energy requires more strategic resource management.
The distinctive seal of the DBSCG are the leaders you choose to represent your deck and your game style. The new Sendai leaders can now wake up with the letter placed on their initial leader. Playing always requires spending Z-Energy. These new leaders have powerful skills and can end the game quickly if they are not stopped. Once a Z-Leader leaves its leader area, it is eliminated from the game completely.
The Z-Awaken effect is a new keyword skill that works during the Activate step: principal/battle. You can announce that you are playing a Z-Awaken effect if your usual leader is already awake. This effect can only be activated by you once per day.
The Z-Leaders can prevent games from lasting too much and extending. In addition, they are fantastic thematically because most of them seem to require that you have a lower total lives. This captures the sensation of the potential to return to Dragon Ball’s anime when the heroes seem to be about to lose the fight and find a way to enhance a little more.
Battle letters z
Z-Battle cards are great because they are always available in your Z-DECK. Most likely, when you really need one of those cards, you can play it. Your usual battle cards are distributed further in your deck and life points, so you are never sure when you will steal them.
Playing and using Z-Battle Cards works exactly as normal Battle Cards, except that you need Z-Energy to play them in addition to normal energy. In the turn of the active player, he can simply look through his Z-DECK and play any letter from Z-Battle upside down. However, you can also look through your Z-DECK at any time.
In general, the new Z-Cards add a new dimension to the Dragon Ball Super card game. Now you will need to use Z-Battle Cards specific to improve your game style and your deck strategy. As a result, more action and strategy are promoted in the game by attacking more and playing more combined cards.
The Sendai series is also the best place to start for new players who discover the DBSCG for the first time.
If you already knew the DBSCG and doubted to start playing for some reason, now it is the perfect time to start collecting the cards for your incredible work of art and play the game with the same level of power.
